Crystal GeyserPosted by Jamie Ann (Lakewood, United States) on 11 May 2007 in Landscape & Rural. The Crystal Geyser is one of those little, seldom visited places along Utah’s Green River. The geyser started life as a failed oil well, but instead of oil; the drillers hit very mineral rich water, so the well was abandoned. Now, once a day, the old well shoots a stream of mineral rich water about 40-feet into the air. The water flows into the Green River, but the flow path is an incredible display of textures and colors from the mineral deposits.
