Washer Woman

White Rim – The White Rim trail is a 100-mile mtn. bike ride that circles the “Island in the Sky” district of Canyonlands National Park. I have ridden this trail many times, both spring and fall, clockwise and counter-clockwise. This picture is from a spring trip when short, isolated light rain showers were a daily routine. The spires named “Washer Woman" (on right) and “Monster Rock” (on left) are two of the landmarks along the ride, though I stayed dry, the spires were in the mist of a passing shower.
