Cirque of the TowersPosted by Jamie Ann (Lakewood, United States) on 23 November 2006 in Landscape & Rural. Wyoming is home to a unique geological feature known as the “Cirque of the Towers”. The Cirque is a three quarter circle in the continental divide. In the bottom of the circle is a lake, the Cirque itself is a ring of fifteen extremely rugged peaks all in excess of 12,000-feet. This once was the mecca for US rock climbers, now it’s paradise for photographers and backpackers.
