Longing

I stopped asking myself, which I love more, the mountains of Colorado or the high desert canyons of Utah. I am in love with both.
Imogene Pass is the second highest road in the US lower 48 and ranked as one of the top 10 jeep roads. From the top of Imogene, this view is looking towards the northwest into Yankee Boy Basin.

I am sitting in the grass high-up on the mountain.
The sun is shining in my face, its warmth filling me.
I am looking in the blue sky and my thoughts are wandering around.
I can not get you out of me mind.
I picture your smile, hear your laughter.
You don’t know anything about my feelings towards you.
But still you should know, I am in love with you.
My heart aching,
I just want to be with you.
